Exploring Wal-mart Knox style

So, I think I have discovered a secret about the south. Everyone’s laid back. It’s like… just chillin. Perhaps Knox will teach me to relax and slooooow down. It’s possible. Just think about it.

Last night, we spent entirely too much time “exploring” Wal-Mart. After the disappointment of finding the Cuban resturaunt closed at 9 p.m. we grabbed a bite at Steak ‘n Shake. Yum. Can you say chocolate chip cookie dough shake? Then, off we were to explore Target…wandered those aisles until they announced we had five minutes till close. Next, off to Wal-Mart, glorious 24-hour Wal-Mart. It was massive. I seriously don’t think I’ve ever seen a Wal-Mart this big. Think Costco Warehouse meets circus big top. That was my first impression. And everything was backwards. I’m used to “my” Wal-Mart in Lawrence, so it was difficult to get a feel for the layout. I like to think that’s why we spent almost two hours in the store. But actually, I think it was because we spent FOREVER debating about towel colours and shower curtains. Good Lord! And, we came so close to buying Finding Nemo towels. I still might go back and get one .
