Jay proposed to me. With an onion ring.
But then the real ring arrived and well, it’s for real! We’re really really really going to get married.
The plan was that we would tell our parents when we were all together back in Kansas at my parent’s place. But time got away from us, and as we were sitting down at the end of the table giggling, poking each other and trying to figure out how we were going to announce the news… Jay’s parents suddenly stood up and announced they better get going because it was getting late, and they were out the door in less than 30 seconds. So, we waited.
Well, I told my parents and my sister because I could barely stand it! And we finally told Jay’s parents a couple nights ago over the phone so now I can blog about it.
No details yet, we’re still just basking in the newness of it all.
