The best date ever
25-Mar-08

Maybe we’re just getting all lovey dovey cause the wedding is near, but we just had the best date of our life.
We ended the date by driving along the ocean on Highway 1. On our way through Pacifica, we spotted a Taco Bell. Now normally, we would turn up our noses and keep on driving, but this Taco Bell was different. It was right on the beach. So we had to stop and eat there. Not the best food we’ve eaten in Cali, but it was the coolest venue.
So back to the beginning of the date…
Our day started with a cake tasting at the Sugar Bowl Bakery. All I can say is “Yum!” our wedding cake is going to be da bomb.
After tasting five different yummy cakes, we decided to enjoy the beautiful day and drive down a little south of the city.
We stopped at In and Out Burger for lunch, washed the car, did a quick Target run and decided to check out Bevmo (why hadn’t we done this sooner?).
After all the errands were finished we took a turn down 280 and headed to Palto Alto. Standford has a beautiful campus and we will most certainly be back with our bikes. We could even hop the CalTrain with our bikes and stay down there for a weekend.
We’re starting the search for a new digital camera so we decided to go to Fry’s. Neither of us had been to a Fry’s before. What an experience. I can’t even begin to explain that place - it’s Wild West meets electronic superstore with all the snacks a geek could ever want. Here’s the short list of things you can find at Fry’s:
-
Coffeemaker
Gummy bears
CD/DVDs
Big screen TV
GPS
Wine chillers
Desktop water fountains
Let’s just say that place was a trip! Be sure to check out the pics I took on my iPhone.
